On April 18, 2018, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on the Equal Legal Effect of Italian Degree and Credential Certifications and Degree and Credential. In order to cooperate with the document issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education and further improve the service for returnees from Italy, our Center will provide formal Evaluation Services for applicants with Degree and credential certifications issued by public and non-public universities, university-level colleges, universities of science and engineering and higher academies of music, art and dance that are recognized by Italian law and are qualified to issue degree certificates.
In order to complete the evaluation more quickly and accurately, applicants are required to note the following when submitting their Degree and credential certifications online:
1. The Degree and credential certification submitted by the applicant should be an official document issued by the above-mentioned Italian institutions of higher education, and bear the seal of the department;
2. Under normal circumstances, the Degree and credential certification should contain basic information such as the degree obtained by the applicant and the major and the date when the degree was obtained; if the certification is issued in a language other than Italian, the applicant is advised to consult with the institution to have the name of the degree marked in Italian. The name of the degree in Italian prevails during the evaluation of our Center;
3. The Diploma Supplement (Supplemento al Diploma/ Diploma Supplement) is a supporting document for an Degree or a Higher Education Qualification and is not equivalent to the Degree and credential certification, therefore it cannot replace the degree certificate.
